The Saturday(s), Newsletters, and The Anthony Nolan Trust…

Start with a song my Dad always said, and it is Saturday, so here are the Saturdays, take it away girls:

It’s been a hell of a week at WYGU HQ. The newsletter went out, highlighting why WYGU.com leads on focussed career discussions. We featured fascinating insights from our very own Sherlock Holmes; Karl Harrison (who’s worked on over 6000 crime scenes), insights from our in-house careers guru Mark Anderson, and how more and more people are finding that 9-5 isn’t the only way to earn a crust.

If you’ve just come back to WYGU, good timing! get involved, start asking questions, get a mentor, and get the edge in your field through the world’s most advanced careers network.

As an aside, last night I went to see what all the fuss is about surrounding this campaign at the Anthony Nolan Trust

Basically, someone is diagnosed with blood cancer every 23 minutes, which means the need for blood stem cell or bone marrow donors is becoming increasingly urgent. For many, a transplant is their last chance of survival. This is why Broadcaster Hardeep is taking to the streets of London for 1 week, on a mission to sign up 2,000 potential donors to the Anthony Nolan Register. Men aged 18-30 currently account for just 12% of donors on the register. That’s why they need more of them to come forward.

Join the register today here

Thanks :-)
