The WYGU jet is homeward bound (maybe one day…), and the jury’s out across the pond; WYGU works
A bit silophophophical this one, philophosical, I mean philosophical. There, knew I could spell it.
Right now I’m cruising back to blighty, hoping the sun is still out when I get home. Yes, my father has informed me that it is well hot at the moment. Shame I missed it, but I wouldn’t have missed this for the world.
So, if you didn’t know, WYGU.com has been on a trans north-American tour of sorts, with the QS world grad tour, with our partners in crime, International Grad Mag, signing up Americans and Canadians to our cause, left, right, and left of centre.
Me and WYGU.com have only been gone 3.5 weeks, but so much has happened in such a short time. I, for one, had never been to any of the destinations, so I was keen to test the effects of an English tone on our allies –and sure enough they are rather fond of an English voice.
And as for WYGU.com, she really stole the limelight. Lime green to be precise. The north Americans at the fairs we attended were very impressed with what she had to offer, and like everyone, they identified with what makes us so special: the accuracy of the skills profiling, and the research platform surrounding it. If you do come across any newbies on the platform; be sure to welcome them and show them around even.
The word on the street , including the NY mean streets, is that WYGU.com is quite simply a great idea, unmatched, and from what I’ve seen and heard, WYGU.com is loooong overdue.
I think what I’ve gleamed from this trip is that our platform is timely, realistic, and a highly effective platform for goodwill, when goodwill is sparse. In times like these, where every other news report is of economic doom and gloom, ours is well placed to deliver where it is needed most, to those at the cross roads.
I wish it existed when I was looking where to turn. Actually there weren’t really even computers then, so it would have had to have been in a big book or something.
As I stroll around WYGU.com, I see more and more activity like never before, with a dedicated team and equally dedicated wyglets keeping the cogs turning, It has reached a point where it is starting to stand alone. But there’s still a lot to do, and that’s the most exciting bit! and the we’re just starting out….
So stick around and get involved, WYGU.com came home and she wants to hang out, I hope she doesn’t mind if I sneak off and doze off this jetlag….
