Hello Guys and Girls
It’s raining outside here in London, and i’m bored at an Apple store waiting for my phone to get fixed (I never told them I dropped it in the sand -shame on me!)…so I thought i’d put pen to paper and update you all on what’s happening in and around WYGUville.
We’ve seen big user growth linked to the increased singing and dancing we’ve been doing at careers fairs over the last month, and the feedback is unanimous: WYGU is the best idea since sliced bread and canned sandwiches*.
We’ll also soon be taking the WYGU circus to America to spread the message there, where the word on the streets is VERY positive indeed!
Huge changes are taking place on the platform; we’ll not only be adding job postings to the WYGUpedia, we’ll also be adding placements, work experience, internships, empoyment data, and eventually even institution fees (as we realise how pertinent this is right now).
Please bear with us as these changes are huge, and both us and you are going to have to hold tight until they are live…but trust me the wait will be worth it (I for one am VERY excited!).
We’re also almost ready to launch the next competitively paid programme. Like the last internship competition (congratulations Rachel Jeffers!), this scheme (still finalising the name as we speak…) will allow you to further bullet proof your CV and gain valuable promotion, WOM and spoken word experience in spreading the Wyrd in your neck of the woods.
Here comes my phone so I gotta sign off.
In a nutshell: thanks for being a pioneer here! do spread the word and tell your friends as they may want to know about the next paid internship too, and let me know if you have ANY issues or valuable feedback as to what we need to develop.
Thanks
