Hi everyone, I’m Matt Summers, the Operations Director at WYGU.
We’ve had a busy few months and you’ve given loads of excellent feedback, which has really helped us to spot any bugs, add new features or change things to work how you want. We’ve already managed to implement many of your suggestions such as an easier way to browse for mentors, or the ability to import your blog from elsewhere and we’re working on the others, like being able to import your contact lists from Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
Our career matching engine continues to be improved and soon it will have an option to include not just your skills and attributes, but your interests as well – have you tried it yet? We’ve also incorporated our own rating system (PSR – Personal Social Responsibility) so you get recognition for your contributions to the community – the more you give the more you get, so sign in and find a mentor (or become one), start a blog, ask questions and edit the WYGUpedia, it all counts towards your score!
We’re working on making WYGU something amazing and your feedback really helps us in our goal. There’s a lot for us still to do but we’re really happy with how it’s going so far and your comments have been overwhelmingly positive, which is great (thanks!).
