Hello and welcome to our first post on the WYGU blog!
I’m Michelle and I am part of the team that will be keeping the blog up to date with the goings on here at WYGU HQ.
On the blog we’ll be highlighting case studies from mentors and job seekers so you’ll be able to follow their journeys with WYGU, find out how they’re getting on with their mentors and hear about their experiences using the site.
This is place where you’ll find the news from WYGU as it breaks, and there will also be exclusive content from the secret project we’re currently running…but more of that later.
If you’re interested in getting involved as a mentor or to tell us about your hunt for a job, or even just to boast about your awesome role, please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re also keen to get feedback about what you think of using WYGU and how we could make it more useful. On the left of your profile page you’ll see a feedback button, which will take you to our General Forum. This is a place for you to leave your suggestions as to what you want to see on the site. Anything you think would benefit your experience on WYGU, we want to hear about.
A recent survey reported in the Metro found that “Brits throw 35 million sickies a year”. That’s more than a quarter of the total number in Europe! To us, this screams out that there are far too many people who don’t love their jobs and we want to help change that.
So enjoy the main WYGU site and all the things it has to offer, and hopefully we’ll see you back here soon!
